![]() I am 30 hours in and did 2/3 of the map and locations at least. If you look at a game like KOTC2 it's a hell lot more in depth and complex and done with lower budget by one lunatic guy living eating roots.Īs for reviews it's too early, it's still a long game and you cant write one after a few days after release if you really intend to finish the game, around 50 hours probably. Tactical combat is still good but there's no such thing as even elementary resistances, still no cover, no attack of opportunities etc. You expect indie rpg to make up for what they lack in graphics with depth and complexity. It was bound to happen, its an uncomfortable position, it's a niche product for oldschool rpg players, yet he streamlined everything since his success with avadon in the IPad era, designed for mainstream players. Seems like there's only the same few guys on steam forums discussing it as well. Most likely it failed to sell but it gathered 65K$ on kickstarter before so even after fee and taxes i think he's doing ok. So if the game really ended up in the "see all new releases" then I guess I'm correct and the game didn't really get traction and sold very little. That's why I'm talking about reviews in my post, because they are crucial and significant amount of the total lifetime reviews for a game will be given within the first two weeks period. ![]() The first two weeks basically determine if your game will succeed or not, and after that the sales and reviews usually slow down. Reviews can be given by curators even before release and you usually need a certain amount of reviews/whislists before Steam starts to promote your game. But the game didn't get into the good side of upcoming games nor the good side of just released games, it ended up in the ¨see all new releases¨ where it really doesn't deserve to be, because 80-90% of those games in there are games that are not worth ones time (most of the time, sometimes you find a hidden gem) and having this gem being buried in there is just sad. And looking at the other games length (at least for me) i will give my review when at least when i have played 50% and thats properly 20+ hours into the game.
